Lectures on YouTube
Over the past few semesters teaching at SIIT I've been recording my lectures, both the audio and a screencast. Originally they were available only to the students in the class, but now I can make them publicly available. Last semester I made them available via my work home page, but now I've moved them to my YouTube channel, StevesLectures. Currently I have all lectures from last semester on Introduction to Data Communications (ITS323), and current lectures from this semester on Security and Cryptography (CSS322) and Internet Technologies and Applications (ITS413). I'll keep adding them during the semester. Also I've created a few shorter videos on Linux command line topics that students may need for assignments and homeworks. So far they include:- Managing Wireless LAN on Command Line in Linux: video
- Using iperf to Measure Application Throughput in the Internet: video, see also my own writeup of the steps
- Wireless Packet Capture with iwconfig and tcpdump: video and my writeup
